We had a large meeting with all the regional Lions Clubs visiting us. We had 80+ diners!
The guest speaker was Dr Tracey Dickson, a Senior Research Fellow and Member from Menzies Research. She explained Alzheimer’s Disease to us in terms of B-amyloid plaques and other cellular mechanisms that cause neurodegenerative conditions... She was recently awarded with a four year NHMRC Biomedical Career Development Award.
The Board also met and decided to change the venue for the Changeover Dinner on 21 June to now be held at the Devonport Convention Centre. More details to follow.
