National Tree Day at Bishton Creek.

Sorry for the delay with this email. I would like to thank the people from the Lions Club who attended the National Tree Day working bee on the 27th July 2008.

Participants, Philip Gleeson; Jenny Rimmer and Hoss Koerner helped members of the Mersey Estuary Group plant 120 native plants at Bishton Creek that day.Afterwards, a bbq was enjoyed by all who attended plus a fellow who arrived late, Walter van Praag (thanks for the e-mail address, Walter). A great day was had by all and the weather made it even better (sunny and mild). We, the Mersey Estuary Group, hope there will be more opportunities in the future to do activities together to benefit both groups.
